Yellow split peas are one of the most widely consumed added value pulses in the world
Grown throughout Europe and on a large scale in Canada, yellow split peas are sold for a range of uses.
They are a major ingredient in Dahl but can also be sold as retail packs in supermarkets. Split yellow peas are also produced for pease pudding.
Like whole yellow peas, many thousands of tonnes of are exported to India from Canada.
